1. What is a multimedia CD-ROM title?
multimedia cd-rom should be a engaging and interactive type of cd, such that, when you insert to a computer, it might allow people to click, navigate and get stuffs going, like next page, next catergory, etc. Not only that, but might also be sound and full-motion videos.

2. What are some application of CD-ROM title design? Eg. Educational. Bring examples, if any.
you are able to click/navigate using the interfaces of the software(like going to the next page). For online games for example, to login, to quit.

3. What are the differences between website design and CD-ROM title design?
DIFFERENCE IN AMOUNT OF SPACE TO WORK ON.

for website, you have to keep your images as small as possible so people wont take a very long time to load up you website. due to the small size constrictions, images(when saved) loses certain information. it is true that websites can also put up pictures, video, flash, movies, but the loading time will get longer and longer with more and more things going on on the web.

whereby cd-rom where you have 700mb to work on, you could put music, videos, flash. anything you like, as long as it doesnt exceed that 700mb. and when it is bigger in size, which means you can work on more stuff, like using macromedia director for your cd rom, so as to make it more interactive, appealing to people.

2 examples of good experience.
playing catching!

DSC_5130
why? cause you get to run around, catch everyone if you are the catcher, or not, you will be running around hiding away from the catcher. it is a way or interactivity between you and your friends.

eating steamboat!
DSC00024DSC00026
why? this is the time when you and your friends/families, will sit around talk and eat together. it is a good experience as not only you get to eat food, you also can talk/chat with the people around you.

this is something we came across when we are in the science centre, we are supposed to put the chains together crisscrossed. we are supposed to free ourselves without having to take off those cuffs. so, we were trying and trying excitedly and anxiously. only after a long period of time, we managed to free ourselves and we got so elated about it.

and why do i think it is interactive cause, we have to communicate, work together to free ourselves by moving here and there. not only that, we need to think of ways to free ourselves.

what is web application?
it is a application that you can access through any web browser. it is a program that is designed for a specific task or use on web browsers. All user interactivity (the GUI) is done through web pages, but all data is stored and (mostly) manipulated on the server.

what is the difference between web design and web application?
web design is the process of designing Web pages using html, xhtml, css. while web applications are softwares that people use on the webbrowsers. and, web design is more like arranging and planning out where you want to place pictures and text effectively.

flow chart did from what is a print webpage. i did it on paper in class and scanned it in.

Untitled-1

what is the difference between this 2 webs?
for the print website, on the home page, you already can see the things displayed on this web(you could access to all the sections, etching, woodcut). unlike the other one, which only has 2, which later on, is divided to difference sections again.

and for their galleries, i think i would prefer the way it is catergorised in the colour web because you could look at works, according to artist’s names. and for the print web, they are all not in order, you would spend alot of time just to look for that particular someone.
